A Sparkling Start to the New Year
It’s hard to believe we’re already wrapping up 2024. Between Olivia turning one, and moving to a new city, it’s definitely been a year of changes. Life constantly changing and passing by so quickly is one of the reasons I started this blog. I wanted to force myself to slow down, embrace things that excite and inspire me, and purposefully look for moments each day that bring joy.
For Christmas, I opted for something sparkly. A red maxi skirt paired with a simple black turtleneck and knee-high boots feels festive yet understated. The metallic paillettes of the skirt adds just the right amount of holiday magic. I’ve always loved how a standout piece can make an outfit feel festive without having to go overboard—and this skirt does just that.
But as much as I love a good holiday outfit, I also wanted to take a moment to reflect on why I started this blog in the first place and what I hope to achieve in 2025.
When I first started this space, I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted out of it. I just knew that I missed being creative with fashion and wanted somewhere to explore and share my love for styling again. In 2025, I’m setting a few goals for this space:
Embrace the Unexpected: I’ve realized how much fun it is to mix things up—whether that’s adding textures, trying out new colors, or finding fresh ways to style classic pieces. This year, I want to experiment even more, while still staying true to what feels effortless.
Refine the Basics: As much as I love playing with new trends, I’ve found that the key to a truly elevated wardrobe is in the details. I want to continue focusing on high-quality basics that form the foundation of every outfit. It’s these pieces that make getting dressed every day feel both easy and put-together.
Style for Every Moment: Next year, I want to continue exploring how style can fit into every part of my life. Whether it’s an easy, everyday look or something a little more dressed up, I want to present myself in an intentional way each day.
This is by far the most I’ve ever written. To whoever is here, thank you for following along. Here's to making 2025 even more stylish than this year!
